Saint Dionysius of Aegina (1547–1622), Bishop of Zakynthos, is revered in the Orthodox Church for his act of forgiving the murderer of his own brother. After retiring to monastic life on the island of Aegina, he became renowned for his holiness and miracles, and his incorrupt relics remain enshrined at the Monastery of the Holy Trinity there.
